With over 25 years of Project Management experience, Frank Sana fortifies VSCE’s team with expertise in highway and bridge construction projects including resident engineering, contract administration, program management, project management, and claims avoidance.  His vast experience as a transportation professional consists of projects and construction management of numerous public works construction projects including Caltrans highways, bridges, ports, pump stations, airports, and tunnels.

Mr. Sana is proficient in contracting procedures and in managing the daily activities of contractors, inspectors, design engineers, architects, soils engineers, technicians, and field survey crews to ensure continuity between design and construction.  He has worked as Resident Engineer for several multi-million dollar interchange and highway projects in the San Francisco Bay Area under Caltrans’ oversight and encroachment permits. He is a skilled leader who builds project teams convening the designer, contractor, utilities, and public to achieve the project objectives while keeping the stakeholders informed.

Sana has also provided professional guidance, leadership, and corporate resources to major infrastructure projects such as the Seismic Retrofit of Golden Gate Bridge and the VTA Measure “A” Highway Program.  He has served as sub-consultant Project Manager on several Caltrans as-needed Construction Engineering and Inspection Services Contracts.  This includes current contracts in Caltrans Districts 4, 6, 9, 10, and 59.
